American Counseling Association in Detroit, Annual Meeting 2007 Report

Greetings from Routledge at the 2007 annual meeting of the American Counseling Association in Detroit, Michigan.
This year's location in Detroit drew over 3,000 attendees to the ACA convention, and Routledge was pleased to be on hand to welcome ACA members as well as visitors from across the border in nearby Ontario, Canada. This year Lawrence Erlbaum Associates joined Routledge under the Taylor & Francis group, and we were glad to represent this wonderful addition to our program.
The Routledge booth was flooded with book browsers and buyers during the grand opening of the exhibit hall, and Fred Coppersmith (center) made sure everything was in place..
Joy Tatusko, who recently joined us from LEA, was on hand to answer questions about our newest books, including The Counselor's Companion, Advancing Social Justice Through Clinical Practice, and Neuropsychotherapy.
Rachel Zawada represented the Routledge journals department, highlighting key publications including the Journal for Specialists in Group Work, Death Studies, and the new Journal of Muslim Mental Health, which drew a lot of inquiries at the booth.
Congratulations to Don Dinkmeyer, Jr. and Jon Carlson (pictured here), on receiving the award for Publication of the Year from ACES for Consultation: Creating School Based Interventions, 3rd Edition.
Celebrating the publication of The Counselor's Companion are (pictured from left to right) the book's co-editors Jocelyn Gregoire and Chrissy Jungers with Dana Fox from Athena Software, makers of the Penelope Light case management program.
Thank you to our friends, colleagues, authors, and customers who helped to make this a successful conference, and welcome once again to LEA authors joining our group. We will look forward to seeing all of you again next year in Hawaii, March 26-30!
